The iPad has become one of Apple’s great success stories. They have turned the tablet, a gadget once resigned to the technology graveyard, into a must-own piece of kit. One feature that the iPad 2 plus and the iPad 3 will have is a significantly improved screen resolution. Rumours have stated that Apple and Samsung may put their well-publicised rivalry aside and collaborate on a Super AMOLED screen for the new tablet. A huge hit on the Galaxy smartphones, Samsung’s AMOLED screens boast a superior display with extremely low power consumption, potentially significantly extending the new iPad’s battery life.

Whether Apple release a new tablet in the coming months, or merely an updated iPad 2, one thing’s for sure; the anticipation and excitement surrounding the brand is unlikely to fade soon.
